Page 1 of 7 Centre for Indian Medical Heritage (CIMH) The medicinal garden adjacent to the AVP factory at Kanjikode is managed by CIMH, an NGO initiative of the AVP Group.
The main activity of CIMH is conservation of medicinal plants and it has been serving in this field for the last 14 years.
CIMH also conducts training for college and school going students to create awareness about medicinal plants.
It conducts medical camps and awareness programs to promote use of herbs for primary health care.
CIMH is also involved in cultivation of medicinal plants.
CIMH has a 1200 sq ft training hall, ethno medicinal forest and Herb, Seed and Raw Drug Collection Centre in its 6.25 acre campus.
About 286 species of medicinal plants are grown in the medicinal garden maintained by CIMH.
Saplings of 180 medicinal plants are grown and distributed as part of the effort to conserve medicinal plants.
Botanists and other scientists are involved in the activities of CIMH.
