His Holiness Swami Ramdevji Maharaj visited the Ayurvedic Trust Campus on 30th March 2011 at 3.30 pm. On arrival he was garlanded by Dr. K.G. Raveendran, Medical Director, Arya Vaidya Pharmacy. After a visit to the Dhanwanthari Temple, Swamiji lighted the lamp to bless the new Center of Excellence Out Patient Department Block and then addressed the gathering at the Seminar Hall of the Ayurvedic Trust. He was garlanded and welcomed by Dr. P. Ram Manohar, Director of Research, The Ayurvedic Trust.

In his address, Swamiji emphasized that Ayurveda and Yoga had a distinct advantage over Allopathic medicine. He said apart from acute conditions, allopathic medicine can only manage diseases. It can manage blood pressure, blood sugar etc but cannot manage life. Ayurveda is management of life. It can cure so many diseases for which allopathy has nothing to offer. He narrated his own experiences in successful management of kidney failure, brain tumor, thyroid and diabetes. He mentioned many herbal formulations that could be used along with Yoga for management of chronic illnesses.

He concluded with a reference to the essential principles Indian civilization, which he summed up into two phrases - Decentralized Development and Spiritual Socialism.

Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Assistant Director of The Ayurvedic Trust delivered the Vote of Thanks. Finally, Swamiji interacted with Padmashree P.R. Krishna Kumar, the Managing Director of the AVP Group of Institutions and left the campus leaving all who were present spell bounded by his charismatic presence.
