The Arya Vaidya Pharmacy (Coimbatore) Limited organized the presentation ceremony of Arya Vaidyan P.V. Rama Varier Memorial BRIHATRAYEERATNA AWARD 2009 on 24th April 2010 at 5.00pm. The function was hosted at Balagandharva Ranga Mandir, Pune and was attended by about 700 delegates.

The function commenced with a charming and sublime welcome dance offering salutations to Lord Ganesha. His Excellency, Sri. K. Shankaranarayanan, Governer of Maharashtra marked the initiation of the function by lighting the lamp.

Sri. P.R. Krishna Kumar, Managing Director of Arya Vaidya Pharmacy delivered the Welcome Address.

This was followed by presentation of the BRIHATRAYEE RATNA AWARD to Vaidya Vilas M. Nanal and Vaidya Ramesh M. Nanal. The Award Included a Trophy, Citation, Certificate and a Cash Award of Rs. 50,000 for each Awardee.

TheĀ PRIDE OF MAHARASHTRA AWARDS were given away to Vaidya K.K. Kantikar and Vaidya Kohatkar. TheĀ AVP EXCELLENCE AWARDS were given away to Dr. Jamadagni, Dr. Milind Kulkarni and Dr. Sunil Inamdar.

The Chief Guest of the function, His Excellency Sri. K. Shankaranarayanan addressed the audience and lauded AVP for the yeoman's service it was rendering for the progress of Ayurveda. He also congratulated the Brihatrayee Ratna Awardees.

The Eminent Scientist, Padmashri and Maharasthra Bhushan Awardee Dr. Vijay Bhatkar felicitated Vaidya Vilas M. Nanal and Vaidya Ramesh M. Nanal for receiving the Brihatrayeeratna Award. He also complimented AVP for the commendable initiatives in the field of Ayurveda.

A short documentary commemorating the 100 the birth anniversary of Vaidya Dattaram Shastri, who received the Brihatrayeeratna Award in 1995 was screened. This was followed by the address of Vaidya Vilas M. Nanal and Vaidya Ramesh M. Nanal, the recipients of the 2009 Brihatrayee Ratna Award.

Shri A.R. Ramasubramania Raja, President, The Arya Vidya Pharmacy (Coimbatore) Limited proposed the vote of thanks and the function concluded with the National Anthem.
