ANCIENT SCIENCE OF LIFE

The AVP Group of institutions are the pioneers in scientific communications in Ayurveda, The first scientific journal par with scientific standards in the field of Ayurveda was launched in 1981 with its editorial activities being managed by Arya Vaidyan Ram Varier Educational Foundation of Ayurveda. This journal titled Ancient Science of Life, in due course have evolved to an Open Access Peer Reviewed Multidisciplinary Research Journal in Ayurveda. The editorial activities are now managed by the AVTAR, the research division of the ‘The Ayurvedic Trust’ with an online system developed by a partnership among the Faculty of Education at the University of British Columbia, the Simon Fraser University Library, the School of Education at Stanford University, and the Canadian Centre for Studies in Publishing at Simon Fraser University.

ASL publishes english full length original research papers and reviews on Ayurveda, allied disciplines and all forms of traditional medicine. The journal provides an interdisciplinary forum for all aspects of medicinal plants. Special attention is given to theory and history of medicine, clinical studies, ethnomedicine and all aspects of traditional pharmacy. ASL also publish relevant papers from the domains of medical sociology, medical anthropology, ethnobotany, ethnopharmacology, microbiology, biochemistry, phytochemistry and pharmacology.
