The RUDRA Program for generating epidemiology, safety and effectiveness data through clinical documentation was successfully launched at the Dept. of Ayurveda, KMC, Manipal on 5th June 2010. Dr. Sripathi Rao, the Dean of KMC, Manipal officially launched the RUDRA Software at 4 pm.

The Ayurveda Department of KMC, Manipal is headed by Dr. Sethukumar Kamath. KMC, Manipal is the sixth centre to join the National RUDRA network which is now being promoted by Dept. of AYUSH. The other centres participating in the RUDRA network are National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur, Central Research Institute of Ayurveda, Delhi, Institute for Post Graduate Training and Research in Ayurveda, Jamnagar, Sreedhareeyam Eye Hospital, Koothattukulam and The Ayurvedic Trust, Coimbatore.

The RUDRA Team was headed by Dr. SBR Kasinath, Asst. Chief Research Officer, AVTAR, Coimbatore. Mr. Naveen Kumar, Software Programmer, AVTAR and Mr. Parthiban, Gvein Solutions, were the other members of the team that visited Dept. of Ayurveda at KMC, Manipal for the installation of RUDRA.
