Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani systems of medicine have a rich pharmacopoeia that has incorporated naturally occurring plant, animal and mineral substances over a period of several thousand years. In recent times, there has been much hue and cry regarding the toxicity of herbal and herbomineral medications used in Traditional Systems of Medicine (TSM) in India and the lack of scientific evidence that can vouchsafe the safety of such products. RasaMED was born as a result of the attempts made to compile and analyze hitherto published papers that explore the quality, safety and efficacy of herbomineral medications used in TSM. The results of this exploration will be shared through this website for the benefit of the general public, researchers, scientists, clinicians and other professionals.The published papers will be listed by title, publication, rating, type of study etc and wherever available and permissible, the complete paper will be archived for downloading. If not at least the abstracts will be posted if available and the link to the complete paper provided.This archive is being launched with a listing of all research papers related to herbomineral medications that have been published in the Ancient Science of Life, the quarterly research journal published by the Arya Vaidya Pharmacy, Coimbatore.
